Exceptional Cricketers - Michael O’Mahony

  • Played a pivotal part in England Deaf Cricket’s rise to success, including two World Cup finals (1995 & 2005). Scored a swashbuckling century (114) against Australia on their home soil yet finished on the losing side in the final.
  • Has a few centuries and numerous fifties to his name including 3 in international cricket – this defines him as a great cricketer when it mattered.
  • Represented Great Britain Basketball at the 1997 Deaflympics, Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • A prolific goalkeeper with a few Great Britain and England international caps; he played a great part in helping both Croydon and Fulham achieve success in domestic football.
  • One of the greatest all-round sportsmen in deaf history.
